Government of Punjab Big Move, Pay Taxes At Home
Government of Punjab has launched a mobile application to ePay Punjab, which includes all Business to Government (BTG) and Public to Government (P2G), for collection of payments and to facilitate public and improve public revenue collection.
This mobile application has been developed by the Finance Department Punjab and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in the mill. Finance Minister Mr. Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht said that the program would facilitate the citizens of Punjab to pay tax using three different electronic payment channels. Here are the details;
- Internet / Mobile Banking
- ATM Card
- Bank Visit & Over The Counter – OTC
A physical visit to the collecting offices across the province to pay for the mobile application tax and before and after decades of payment will be completely exempt. Consumers will not have to stand in long queues and wait several hours for the government to pay tax liabilities.
The methods that encourage bribery and corruption are now being challenged through application, so that clients can pay their dues from the comfort of their own homes. Over The Counter (OTC) Banking Transactions. The first step is to pay taxes for the five departments you can pay at home. Here are the details;
- Excise & Taxation
- Board of Revenue – BOR
- Punjab Revenue Authority – PRA
- Punjab Land Records Authority – PLRA
- Department of Industry
All 12 of these five departments can be taxed at home. Here is the details of twelve taxes;
- Token Tax
- Motor Vehicle Registration
- Motor Vehicle Transfer
- Property Tax
- Professional Tax
- Cotton Fee
- Mutation Fee
- First Fee
- Sales Tax On Services
- Punjab Infrastructure Development System
- Business Registration Fee.
This application will facilitate the citizens of Punjab to generate a unique 17-digit PSID number to pay the required tax on internet / mobile banking, ATM or any bank visit. Can be used.
In the future, the public will be able to create several other payment channels, including debit, credit card, mobile wallet, Telco’s agent networks and direct debit from the account, to further enhance payment options for consumers. In addition, the future of Government 2 Public (G2P) and Government 2 Business will be expanded to expand the horizon of the program and include tax / non-tax receipts, including online admission for college / school fees, driving license fees. (G2B) is also planned to be included these taxes & fees.
